How to Reach From Aurangabad to Shirdi



Shirdi is a famous pilgrimage center in the state of Maharashtra. It is known world-wide for being the birth place of the great Indian saint and Guru, Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. Aurangabad is another major city in the state of Maharashtra which is known for its architectural splendors and rich heritage. The two cities of Aurangabad and Shirdi are well-connected to each other via railways and roadways.

Shirdi is located at about 116 km away from the city of Aurangabad and it takes a travel time of about 2 hours by road to reach Shirdi from Aurangabad. The most recommended routes to reach Shirdi from Aurangabad are through the State Highway 60 and State Highway 10.The easiest way to reach Shirdi from Aurangabad is via road.



There are a number of bus services available from Aurangabad to Shirdi. These buses that range from air-conditioned Volvo buses to non air conditioned ones charge from 400 to 1050 rupees per traveler depending upon the type of bus chosen by the traveler. They take a travel time of about 1:30 hours to 3hours to reach Shirdi from Aurangabad. Travel, by bus is suited for backpackers and individual travelers and is not suited for senior citizens and group travelers.

Trains from Aurangabad to Shirdi depart from two stations in Aurangabad, Aurangabad Junction and Bhusaval Junction railway stations. They arrive at two stations in Shirdi, Sainagar station and the Manmad station. The ticket rate is 120 rupees per traveler to travel from Aurangabad to Shirdi via rail.

The Saket Express No:11068 departs from the Bhusaval Junction at 13:50 hours and reaches Manmad Junction at 15:57 hours taking a travel time of about 2 hours and 7 minutes on Mondas and Fridays. Bsb Ltt Super Express No:12166 departs from the Bhusaval Junction at 13:50 hours and reaches Manmad Junction at 15:57 hours taking a travel time of about 2 hours and 7 minutes on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Cct Snsi Express No:17206 departs from the Aurangabad Junction at 5:00 hours and reaches Sainagar Shirdi at 09:15 hours taking a travel time of about 4 hours and 15 minutes on



A lot of taxis and cabs are also available to travel from Aurangabad to Shirdi. These cars take about 3 to 4 hours to reach Shirdi from Aurangabad. The taxi fares from Aurangabad to Shirdi range between 9 to 160 rupees per kilometer depending upon the type of vehicle chosen by the traveler.

There is no airport at Shirdi and the nearest airport is at Nasik which is the Gandhi Nagar Airport, 76 km away from Shirdi. It is thus not possible to reach Shirdi from Aurangabad via air.
